Al Fardan Center
Open
Since 1998 Al Fardan center has given Sharjah a new ay
to enjoy shopping. The mall consists of a spacious three
level shopping center, basement parking and two floors
of offices. Eventually two towers and a revolving restaurant
will be built on top to accommodate residents. The 3 floors
have mixed retail shops and boutiques offering a variety
of products and well known brands.
Al
Taawun Mall
Al
Taawun Mall, a state of the art spherical shopping center
is located midway between Sharjah and Dubai and overlooks
the attractive Al Khan Lagoon. This center was the first
and biggest in Sharjah in terms of area, number of shops
and recreation activities. Sharjah Co-op hypermarket will
soon open. It houses many retail shops and boutiques,
entertainment areas, a food court and more. The third
floor houses the kingdom of Foton World spread over 52,000
square feet, offering an extraordinary fantasy destination
for all the family combining fun, entertainment and education
along with the opportunity to savor cuisine from around
the world.
Sharjah
City Center
Sharjah
City Center opened to the public on Sept 23, 2001 Sharjah
City Center is described as a new era in the field of
shopping and entertainment for Sharjah residents, a new
addition, the latest by the Majid Al Futtaim Group of
Companies, provides Sharjah residents an integrated array
of shopping options which represents the true value of
money together with entertainment and recreation all under
one roof.
The
new center is located off Al Wahda Street and houses 91
stores on a total area of 28,000 sqm in addition to a
parking lot that can accommodate 1,300 cars. The center
is designed and constructed to meet the traditional requirements
of Sharjah markets and at the same time attract high quality
international products.
Besides
Carrefour, the center plays host to a number of international
names which have come to Sharjah for the first time. It
is also the main destination for families and children
with the presence of Magic Planet Kids, a unique entertainment
complex designed for children up to nine years.
The
center also houses a number of garment, perfumes, cosmetics
and jewelry stores carrying local and international brands,
in addition to the food court which can seat 500 people.
Mega Mall
The
Sharjah Mega Mall opened in December 2001. The mall is
located in the heart of Sharjah on Immigration Road.
Antic's
Land, a huge DH 35 million family entertainment center,
is located within the Sharjah Mega Mall, introducing a
new concept of education and entertainment for people
of all ages, especially children. At 85,000 sq ft, this
distinctively themed family entertainment center places
the visitors in ancient times and allows them to travel
through time with Antic - a fictional character who will
be the focus of attraction at the center, as his ventures
lead him to a futuristic Sharjah.
"Unique
rides, games, edutainment activities, shops and much more
entice visitors, young in age and young at heart, with
this surreal experience," said Dave Rowbotham, General
Manager of the Family Entertainment Center.
